Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced (if recipe called for ham)
  • 6 strips turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 bag (about 26 oz) frozen French fries

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in diced chicken ham and turkey bacon. Cook for another 2 minutes to combine flavors.
  • Add cheddar cheese soup and milk. Mix until creamy and heated through.
  • Season with salt and pepper, then stir in 1 cup of shredded cheese until melted.
  • Transfer beef mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Top with frozen French fries in a single layer.
  • Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until fries are golden and crispy.
  • Sprinkle remaining 1 cup of cheese on top and bake for another 5–7 minutes until melted.
  • Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve hot. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Try crinkle-cut fries for the best crispy texture.

  • For a richer flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the beef.

  • To make this dish vegetarian, use plant-based ground meat and vegan cheese.

  • Add toppings like pickles or a mustard drizzle after baking for true burger flavor.

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for future meals.
