Ingredients

Scale

For the “pigs”:

  • 12 turkey breakfast sausages (fully cooked or pre-cooked)
  • 6 slices turkey bacon, cooked and cut in half

For the dough:

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Optional for serving:
  • Maple syrup for dipping
  • Fresh fruit on the side

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet until slightly crispy. Remove and cut each slice in half.
  • Wrap each turkey sausage with a half-slice of turkey bacon. Set aside.
  • Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle in half to make 16 smaller triangles.
  • Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. Brush each dough triangle with melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Wrap each sausage in a cinnamon-sugar dough triangle, starting at the wide end and rolling up like a croissant. Make sure the bacon layer stays in place.
  • Place wrapped sausages on the baking sheet, seam side down. Brush the tops with more melted butter and sprinkle extra cinnamon sugar.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  • Cool slightly before serving. Optional: Serve with warm maple syrup for dipping.

Notes

  • You can prepare the sausage and bacon in advance to save time.

  • For a sweeter version, use cinnamon roll dough instead of crescent rolls.

  • Serve with maple syrup or a cream cheese glaze for added sweetness.

  • Great for brunch boards and meal prepping.

  • For a fun twist, try making mini rolls or using spicy sausage for contrast.
